According to Wolpert the blockchain needs a more collaborative approach, which is not always guaranteed by the blockchain developers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">So it seems that the worldwide company IBM wants to ensure itself a leading role in the market solutions related to the blockchain.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, IBM is working on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperledger.org\/\">Hyperledger Project<\/a>, an open-source blockchain led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxfoundation.org\/\">The Linux Foundation<\/a>. Presented in December, this project stars thirty companies including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abnamro.com\/\">ABN Amro<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmegroup.com\/\">CME Group<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redhat.com\/en\">Red Hat <\/a>and several blockchain startups.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing how many smart and genius people are behind bitcoin, but they miss some logic here. You don\u2019t need to go from trusted to trustless on everything. I think that\u2019s an honest disagreement. The Internet is a permissioned walled garden. Anyone heard of ICAAN [Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers]? It\u2019s permissive, but it\u2019s permissioned&#8221;<\/i>, said Wolpert.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperledger.org\/\">Hyperledger Project<\/a>\u2019s goal, he continued, is to be an evolution of the first generation projects such as <a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/page\/what-is-bitcoin\">Bitcoin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/holytransaction-adds-ethereum.html\">Ethereum<\/a>, that gather all the best projects that leverage on the blockchain together with all the stakeholders that will potentially use such technology. This is necessary if we want to have a widely used transactional protocol.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<i>It has to be immutable and modular. It can\u2019t be this is the consensus algorithm, this is the token, all of that has to be modular. It has to be scalable. Interledger-ing is important. You have to inter-op between chains and different things<\/i>\u201d, he said.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">During his speech Wolpert also emphasized IBM\u2019s experience in consensus algorithms and distributed computing during the last 30 years.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">It\u2019s thanks to such experience that IBM was able to conduct the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperledger.org\/\">Hyperledger Project<\/a>, that Wolpert sees as the only way to bring all the different stakeholders to the same table and make them work together to build and open-source blockchain platform that can be used in many different areas, as it is for Linux.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<i>We\u2019ve been doing projects on every kind of blockchain. We\u2019ve been doing that for a couple years and now we have a whole unit.
