The news was announced by the <a href=\"http:\/\/acpr.banque-france.fr\/lacpr.html\">French Prudential Supervisory Authority<\/a> (ACPR).<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The institution, which is responsible for the regulation of the French banks,\u00a0has <a href=\"http:\/\/acpr.banque-france.fr\/fileadmin\/user_upload\/acp\/Communication\/Communiques%20de%20presse\/20140129-Communique-ACPR-position-bitcoin.pdf\">issued a statement<\/a> clarifying the status of Bitcoin and related <a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/page\/portefeuille-porte-monnaie-crypto-monnaies-en-ligne-Fran%C3%A7ais-multi-gratuitement-universel-enregistrer\">exchanges<\/a>\u00a0in the country. Besides <b>revealing several concerns and leaving warnings for the users<\/b>, the ACPR also states that\u00a0anyone operating an exchange in France must mandatorily have a license.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"http:\/\/bitcoinexaminer.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/lACP_b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5754 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/bitcoinexaminer.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/lACP_b.jpg\" alt=\"lACP_b\" width=\"239\" height=\"140\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The move means that <b>every exchange will have to become a\u00a0provider of payment services<\/b><br \/>\nunder the authority\u2019s supervision.
