text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"obama bitcoin\" src=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/1000509261001_2008586720001_BIO-Barack-Obama-SF-FIX-Retry.jpg\" alt=\"obama_embrace_bitcoin\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2016\/05\/11\/obama-needs-to-make-a-move-on-bitcoin-now-bart-chilton-commentary.html\">CNBC<\/a> writer <b>President Barack Obama<\/b> needs to embrace Bitcoin soon.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, some days ago <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/bart-chilton\/\"><b>Barth Chilton<\/b><\/a>, former commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and senior policy advisor at the global law firm DLA Piper, wrote that the Obama administration should now move on bitcoin and the blockchain.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chilton explained as the blockchain technology can be a great economic value for the U.S.A. so Obama should heed the call on Bitcoin.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chilton commented:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>&#8220;Without some proactive steps, such as a Self-regulatory Organization (SRO) and\/or word from on high by the president, the U.S. could lose out on what are potentially enormous economic benefits.&#8221;<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chilton worked as a commissioner between 2007 and 2014, and he wrote a book titled <i>&#8220;Ponzimonium: How Scam Artists Are Ripping Off America.&#8221;<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his article, Chilton explained that Obama should pay attention to Bitcoin because a lack of interest on it could let <i>\u201cU.S. lose out on what are potentially enormous economic benefits\u201d.\u00a0<\/i><br \/>\n<i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<h3>Huge Opportunities<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are <b>15.5 million bitcoins<\/b> and the digital currency has a <b>market capitalization of nearly US$7 billion<\/b>, so Chilton explained how important is embracing bitcoin and digital currencies right now.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>&#8220;There is a huge opportunity that can be tapped into if US government officials and industry thought-leaders establish an appropriate balance between basic consumer protection regulation and an openness which not only permits, but fosters and promotes, innovation\u201d<\/i>, he wrote.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, Chilton compared <b>what U.S.A. did with Internet to what this country can do with Bitcoin<\/b>, by saying:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u201cWe did it with the internet \u2014 and we need to do it now with virtual currencies like bitcoin\u201d.<\/i><br \/>\n<i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.498039);
