\nthe country\u2019s first bitcoin ATM freshly launched in the capital Warsaw
\nand many more soon to follow, according to the operators.<\/div>\n
Located at\u00a0Bitcoin<\/a> Embassy Warsaw,\u00a0which opened this May<\/a>,\u00a0the new machine is manufactured by Lamassu<\/a>\u00a0and works in partnership with bitcoin exchange Bitstamp<\/a>.<\/div>\n
The Bitcoin Embassy<\/a>\u00a0was
\nset up to act as a hub for the Warsaw\u2019s rapidly expanding bitcoin
\nscene, Piotr\u00a0Hetzig, the company\u2019s chief executive, told CoinDesk.
\nLaunching the\u00a0bitcoin ATM in the heart of Warsaw was\u00a0aimed to boost the
\nvisibility of the cryptocurrency in Poland, he explained.<\/div>\n
However,
\nthe company\u2019s plans go even further than that.\u00a0A second ATM is to be
\nmade available shortly in the Polish capital, with a network of bitcoin
\nvending machines eventually to be rolled out across the country.<\/div>\n
\u201cBy
\nthe end of this year, as many as 30 bitcoin ATMs enabling [people] to
\npurchase and sell bitcoins are expected to appear in various parts of
\nPoland,\u201d the operator said.<\/div>\n
Bitcoin Embassy\u00a0Warsaw aims\u00a0to offer a
\nwide range of services tailored for bitcoin enthusiasts, as well as for
\nthose who want to make their first step in the world of digital
\ncurrencies, according to Hetzig.<\/div>\n
These will include training
\nsessions, consultancy services, meetings and events, as well as sales of
\nhardware for bitcoin mining. Initiatives to raise public awareness of
\nthe cryptocurrency are also planned.<\/div>\n

The
\nnew Lamassu ATM is now open for business and can be found at Bitcoin
\nEmbassy Warsaw on\u00a046\u00a0Krucza street.\u00a0Opening hours are currently Monday
\nto Friday, 10am to 6pm, but may become available 24\/7 in the near
\nfuture.<\/div>\n

Denmark gets its\u00a0first bitcoin ATM<\/h2>\n
Meanwhile, the first publicly available bitcoin ATM in Denmark has been launched at Irish pub The Dubliner<\/a>, located on Copenhagen\u2019s famous \u2018walking street\u2019. Also a Lamassu machine, the ATM accepts Danish krone and is operated by local bitcoin broker Sirius Money<\/a>. Thorkil V\u00e6rge, founder and chief executive of the company, said \u201dDenmark is one the countries where bitcoin is the least regulated. The financial authorities have stated that [anti-money laundering and know your customer] laws do not apply to bitcoin, and that bitcoin is […] considered a private non-taxable asset\u201d. As a result, \u201cearnings on bitcoins bought in Denmark are not taxed. On the flip side, losses are not tax deductible\u201d, he explained, adding:<\/div>\n
\n

\u201cThe Dubliner is an excellent place to [site] a bitcoin ATM, since they have a
\nlot of customers and long opening hours. The pub is also located very
\ncentrally near the Stork Fountain, which is the center of Copenhagen\u2019s
\nshopping district.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

V\u00e6rge further indicated that the company is in the process of opening a subsidiary in the Spanish market, to be called Sirius Iberia.<\/div>\n

Bitcoin centre and ATM launch in Prague<\/h2>\n
In another example of the cryptocurrency\u2019s increasing popularity in Central Europe, a bitcoin centre launched in Prague, Czech Republic, on 28th May<\/div>\n
\nThe centre, which has already launched a two-way Robocoin<\/a> ATM for its customers, was opened in the Czech capital\u2019s Sm\u00edchov district, according to\u00a0The Prague Post<\/i><\/a>.<\/div>\n
The establishment is operated by local bitcoin business wBTCb.cz<\/a>,
\nand was set up to provide face-to-face services for those unfamiliar
\nwith digital currencies, as well as consulting services to registered
\nclients.<\/div>\n
The firm says it wants to become one of the main traders
\nin the country\u2019s digital currency market, with workshops and seminars
\ndesigned to increase bitcoin\u2019s visibility in the Czech Republic.<\/div>\n
Martin Str\u00e1nsk\u00fd, the company\u2019s owner, ordered three bitcoin ATMs from US manufacturer\u00a0Robocoin Technologies<\/a>\u00a0in December 2013 under a contract worth some 1,500,000 CZK\u00a0($74,200).<\/div>\n
The
\ncentre is located on the corner of Arbesovo n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed and Eli\u0161ky Pe\u0161kov\u00e9
\nstreet, with the Robocoin ATM available from Monday to Friday, 10am to
\n7pm, with a single transaction limit set at 25,000 CZK ($1,200).<\/div>\n
