<b>solar power<\/b> providers to sell certificates using its <b>Linq blockchain<\/b>.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">This special solar panels are linked to the Internet connection through a technology created by <b>Filament<\/b>, a Nevada blockchain startup that built a system able to connect traditional devices to the internet.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to the Nasdaq private blockchain called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/hands-on-with-linq-nasdaqs-private-markets-blockchain-project\/\">Linq<\/a>, it is possible to create certificates that can be purchased by anyone who wants to finance the solar energy.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even if there were a couple of bugs, the resultant certificate appeared on the screen during the live video demonstration.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">During an interview conducted by <b>Coindesk<\/b>, <b>Alexander Zinder<\/b>, director of the global software development at Nasdaq, cleared up how this new technology works.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>&#8220;The solar panel is actually hard-wired into the IoT device through a converter which enables us to measure the wattage they\u2019re putting out and producing into the grid.&#8221;<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">This innovative project was born thanks to a partnership between Nasdaq and <b>IDEO&#8217;s CoLab<\/b>.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>&#8220;We think it\u2019s a very compelling use case, but there\u2019s a lot of opportunity, but it\u2019s extremely early in our exploration\u201d<\/i>, continued Zinder.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Blockchain and energy: crowdfunding platform where people can donate their bitcoin.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Donators can see the electricity needed by a school and can know how much he will contribute based on the BTC he donates.<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/2016\/03\/ethereum-used-for-car-charging-in.html\">Ethereum used for Car Charging<\/a><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, a German power company, <b>RWE<\/b>, started a partnership with the <b>Ethereum-based\u00a0<\/b>startup <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.slock.it\/partnering-with-rwe-to-explore-the-future-of-the-energy-sector-1cc89b9993e6#.bcz4rlj22\">Slock.it<\/a>, to develop proofs-of-concepts using the Ethereum blockchain.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">RWE <b>Carsten St\u00f6cker<\/b> commented:<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>&#8220;We would like to solve the problems and really push electric vehicle deployment forward by looking into establishing a
