{"id":2255,"date":"2017-04-10T21:36:40","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T21:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.holytransaction.com\/?p=2255"},"modified":"2020-11-22T04:20:25","modified_gmt":"2020-11-22T02:20:25","slug":"porsche-explore-blockchain-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/porsche-explore-blockchain-technology.html","title":{"rendered":"Porsche to explore the Blockchain technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>German automobile manufacturer <strong>Porsche<\/strong>\u00a0wants to explore the <strong>blockchain<\/strong> technology.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, Porsche announced a new startup competition last week with the main goal of attracting companies that work in the blockchain industry as part of a bid to test potential applications.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time Porsche has talked about its interest in the distributed ledger tech.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche is offering \u20ac25,000 in prize money and a three-month stint at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spinlab.co\/partner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SpinLab<\/a>, an accelerator based in Leipzig that the automobile company supports.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for this contest are due by May 15th.<\/p>\n<p>Below you can read a statement published by the German company:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Porsche aims to obtain external input on the disruptive potential of the blockchain transaction system by collaborating with the start-up scene. The central question is to what extent the application of this technology in the value creation chain of the company makes sense.
