{"id":1972,"date":"2017-02-04T16:56:39","date_gmt":"2017-02-04T16:56:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.holytransaction.com\/?p=1972"},"modified":"2017-02-04T16:57:10","modified_gmt":"2017-02-04T16:57:10","slug":"polish-bitcoin-regulators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/2017\/02\/polish-bitcoin-regulators.html","title":{"rendered":"Polish Bitcoin regulators recognized it within the country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Polish Bitcoin regulators decided to recognize the digital currency within the country.<\/p>\n<p>In fact,\u00a0the country\u2019s Central Statistical Office (GUS) <a href=\"http:\/\/stat.gov.pl\/metainformacje\/interpretacje-klasyfikacji\/interpretacje-informacje-o-zmianach\/\">revealed <\/a>its decision to recognize the trading and mining of digital currencies as an <strong>official economic business <\/strong>in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>This is the reason why from now on companies active in the Polish industry are be able to\u00a0register themselves with the agency.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses who are involved in cryptocurrency trade and production activities can now apply to <strong>obtain an official PKD 64.19.Z registration<\/strong>, the GUS explained in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>This news highlights a significant step forward for industry workers in Poland where currently there isn&#8217;t an official regulation or legislation about neither bitcoin or other digital currencies.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year the Polish Ministry of Finance released a few documents that expressed <strong>the status of legality for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also, in a\u00a0statement published back in<a href=\"http:\/\/orka2.sejm.gov.pl\/INT8.nsf\/klucz\/658C47ED\/%24FILE\/i06655-o1.pdf\">\u00a0November<\/a>,\u00a0the finance ministry commented what follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em> &#8220;there is a lack of a general, legal definition of virtual currency in international, European and national law&#8221;. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This explains that <strong>digital currencies are subjected to income tax<\/strong>, even if they\u00a0are not subject to\u00a0any separate regulation according to the Polish legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Polish ministry also commented:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;It should also be stressed here that their use in Poland is fully legal.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Polish Bitcoin studies<\/h2>\n<p>To explore the legal and financial implications of the use of the Polish Bitcoin use, government of <strong>Poland has created a new group of blockchain and virtual currencies experts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Polish Bitcoin task force was established under the surveilance of the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, and according to thePolish government\u2019s program titled <em>&#8220;<strong>From Paper To Digital Poland<\/strong>&#8220;<\/em> that was written by the Cabinet back in June 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This task force will be responsible to prepare analyses for use\u00a0by other government agencies in their legislative work and the possible chance of a <strong>Polish Bitcoin and digital currencies regulation<\/strong> is one of its goals and interests.<\/p>\n<p>Open your free digital wallet <a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/app#!\/signup\">here<\/a> to store your cryptocurrencies in a safe place.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Polish Bitcoin regulators decided to recognize the digital currency within the country.
