{"id":1830,"date":"2017-01-04T17:01:01","date_gmt":"2017-01-04T17:01:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.holytransaction.com\/?p=1830"},"modified":"2020-11-22T04:52:24","modified_gmt":"2020-11-22T02:52:24","slug":"russian-blockchain-national-payment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/russian-blockchain-national-payment.html","title":{"rendered":"Russian Blockchain to improve national payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Today we want to talk about the recent <strong>Russian Blockchain interest<\/strong> and the country major announcements related to bitcoin and the distributed ledger.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.econotimes.com\/Russias-AFI-proposes-blockchain-implementation-for-client-identification-469376\">Economic Times<\/a>,<strong> Russia wants to use the blockchain technology<\/strong> to improve its national payment system and to simplify clients&#8217; identification.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The <strong>Association of Financial Innovation<\/strong> (AFI) in Russia, in fact, prepared a draft for improving the regulation of its own national payment system.<\/p>\n<p>This draft has been shared for a first discussion on the Association&#8217;s official web site. After this discussion, the roadmap will be presented to the Russian Duma, the Ministry of finance and the <a href=\"https:\/\/holytransaction.com\/blog\/?s=bank+of+russia&amp;submit=Search\"><strong>Bank of Russia<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official article, the roadmap includes the use of the distributed ledger technology for users identification. Here an extract:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u201cAlong with expansion opportunities in the short term transactions under the simplified identification of clients, develop an approach and implement a single identifier (possibly using blockchain technology)\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Association for Financial Technologies Development (FinTech Association) was recently setted up by the Bank of Russia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Its participants will study and test the most promising technologies, including the distributed ledger, open application program interface (open API) and remote identification technologies. Also, the association will create a <strong>single payment space<\/strong>\u00a0both for households and legal entities.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Russian Blockchain Interest<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Earlier in 2016, the Bank of Russia revealed its technical prototype for financial messaging, based on the blockchain and called Masterchain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This tool would allow instant confirmation of data; also it would create a few financial opportunities for the market participants to provide game-changing products and services to their clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Recenlty Russia seems to love the Blockchain very much.
